Oh dear, it's a fence walk sometimes to steer between encouraging and dissuading a "friend" whose opinions are so different from your own. Sometimes gentle steering will work, but other times you have to cut the ties. I did have to do that to a couple of "friends" during this election - such a polarizing time in our national history.
