Hi Guys!
🖐. Wow! Where do I start? I think I'll just do a recap of the past year to introduce myself to everyone.
Let's go back to late October of 2015: I was still caring for the Mothership. Her leg and neck were horribly damaged from two falls. She was in a Miami J neck collar and having her leg treated by a wound care trauma doc. The debrieding appointments were horrible. She was also quite mentally abusive to me and taking out her frustration on me. I was losing my mind. Then C Dif hit. ( nasty bacteria in the colon, very gross and contagious 😷. Once we got her stabilized, my bro in Tampa stepped up and agreed to move her from Ohio to His home where there are no steps.
She's in a safe place, but she's not as happy as she believed she would be. Now our roles are reversed and she no longer sees me as the bumbling fuck up help. My brother is going crazy now.
November: life got way simpler without my mother's constant neediness and lack of satisfaction. Still I miss her, especially at the holidays.
Winter wasn't to severe weather wise for Ohio thank G-d.
In April we had a terrible blow at work. My student " Evan" died. He was 19 and succumbed to infection gone out of control after being in a coma for 45 days. It was rough and we all still feel the loss. We were crying for days.
May: Wolf Boy graduated! WB is like my third kid I never had. This time was crying tears of joy.
I haven't cried this much in school since 5th grade when girls in gym were mean to me. LOL
In June I went to Tampa to see my niece graduate and spend time w the Mothership. I also got to meet an on line adoptee friend, ME. Also saw my college BFF, Jan for the 1st time in 30 years.
I also spent many weeks doing more wedding planning for / with Fuzzy1. Exciting times!
July: Took a road trip w the Hub to Wash D.C. To see the Space Shuttle up close. In August, a niece on my hub's side got married in Michigan. It was lovely. Is Hub's family finally healing and letting go of the past? ...Well, at least we scored an invitation, so... Stay tuned.
We came home and began to hard core wrap up all the preps for our Fuzzy1's wedding.
We lost our big beautiful calico kitty, Cheetah in late July. The loss was sudden and devastating. In mid Sept we had the opportunity to introduce two new furry family members to our circle: Tiger and Lily:Not much cuter and sweeter than this!
October: At last the long engagement between Fuzzy1 and MX became a splendid Royal Wedding with many family and friends reunited. It was a beautiful evening.
I hope to write more in depth about these topics and many others this season.
